How to Find Us in Edinburgh

 

How to travel to Edinburgh from London:

By Road

From the North on Forth Road Bridge (M90/A90)

1. Take the A90 into the city centre, then take the A702 for less than a mile to into Bruntsfield and take a right  into Gilmore Place, 200 yards from King theatre in home street and the Braveherat Guest House is the right from home street . 

Please Note: there is a SPAR on Lothian Road (next to Woolworths) at the start of the 702 this is NOT the SPAR to turn right at, carry on up the road and opposit the Kings Theatre and into Gilmore place

From the West & Airport (M8/A8)

Take the A8 all the way  into the city centre then take the A702 as above.                                                             

From East &  South (A1/A7/A68/A702) 

Take the city by-pass the A720 to the A702 and follow this for 3 miles into the city centre. At this point look for King Theatre and turn left into Gilmore Place, then after 200 yards the  Braveheart Guest House is next to Kingsview Guest House.

Trains for Edinburgh depart from Kings Cross Station and the journey times are between 4 - 4.30 hours. They run regularly during the day with departures from 06.15 hrs to 19.00 hrs most days.

You can obtain special fares if you plan your journey to avoid peak times and days!

Buses leave London from: Heathrow Airport; Central Bus Station Gatwick Airport; South and North terminals and Victoria Bus Station in central London.

Time taken from London is 8 - 10.5 hours.

Arrival to Edinburgh & Locating Braveheart Guest House

By Air
When you arrive at Edinburgh Airport you can catch a taxi to Braveheart Guest House, this will cost approximately £15.00 and is the easiest option.

There are also buses which run directly into the city centre, the cost is £4.50 and the journey time is approximately 30/45 minutes. From the city centre you can get a taxi and the cost is approximately £4.00 or you can catch a bus from the city centre to the Guest House, which costs £0.80 per person.
